April Pizza Ranch Fundraiser

On Wednesday and Thursday, April 18 and 19, Pack 75 will be working at Pizza Ranch, clearing tables and selling coupon cards. This is one of two main fundraisers that we do each year to raise needed funds that are used for operating expenses. We are incredibly grateful to the Pizza Ranch Franchise for the wonderful opportunity that they present to us twice a year. Our hard work earns us a percentage of sales for the evening, any tips that are left on tables that we clear, and the proceeds from every Ranch Reward Card that is sold on those evenings. Not only is this program a lucrative opportunity for the Pack, it is a load of fun for the boys who participate.

There are some particulars that cover this evening. First, shifts:

  • Tigers – Wed Evening, 5:00 – 6:30
  • Wolves – Thurs Evening, 5:00 – 6:30
  • Bears – Wed Evening, 6:30 – 8:00
  • Webelos – Thurs Evening, 6:30 – 8:00

All boys MUST be in their “Dress” uniform – the blue shirt, yellow neckerchief, slide, and belt (if they have one). Leaders must also be in Dress Uniform – tan shirt, correct insignia, neckerchief/slide.

Boys who are in uniform are invited to eat during their “off” shift (if you are scheduled at 5:00, you eat after your shift; if you are on the 6:30 shift, you may eat before). Boys and adults in uniform eat for free. All other family members are invited to support the pack by purchasing their family dinner at Pizza Ranch that evening.

Gum chewing during service is strictly prohibited, and ladies, if our hair touches our collars, we need to have it tidily pulled back in a pony or braid. (this is not Pizza Ranch policy, it is a simple courtesy to keep our hair away from food)

Finally, no more than 6 boys may work at a single time. Any number higher than that leads to confusion and congestion. If your den is larger than 6, create shifts within your shift, and spread the work out.

I hope to see a full pack turnout – this is truly a fun night, and a wonderful opportunity not only to earn some money for the pack, but for the boys to learn about service to others.
